The past few years have really tested this industry - from COVID to oil crash to investor pressure. At Petro.ai, we’ve been tested, too. Personally, I’ve felt tested. I’m sure we all have!
Thank you for pushing through all these challenges and extending the boundaries of our basins, discovering new intervals, adapting to new economics, and trying new technologies. Without operators, without investors, without belief that these tight reservoirs can be economic, an 80 billion dollar industry would vanish.
All the contributions - from operators, vendors, to investors - solve problem after problem and keep the momentum going. It’s been an amazing story of resilience.
The world of shale expands. Dan Pickering writes about the global need for trustworthy oil barrels and trains of natural gas. Europe is rapidly realigning their energy feedstocks to mitigate the new boundaries of conflict. And shale, taken together, is a critical player in delivering trustworthy energy. And we can deliver it with a new social and environmental contract of operation.
We’ve learned a lot over the past few years as an industry. And I’m sure there’s so much more to learn. That’s why I love working here, with all of you.
This past year has been one for the record books for Petro.ai. Our customers set new accuracy levels to 99.3%, powered by our Frac Fingerprint and DSUD technology, on PUD production predictions, including pads with technical challenges. We validated these predictions with 6-month and 12-month actuals, with an average of 96% across our customers. Amazing! Our technology works great with earth models and data of all types.
